Work Plan

The project work plan has been developed in order to represent clearly

  • the activities to be carried out
  • their logic sequence
  • the interdependences and connections
  • partners tasks
  • expected results and outcomes in coherence with the specific objectives of the project and with the specific institutional missions and expertises of each member of the Partnership


The work plan has been organized in 9 Work Packages (WP) foreseeing different working steps strictly relating and connecting. The operatives WPs (WP2-WP3-WP4-WP5-WP6-WP7) has been created in a logic of input-output process, while transversal WPs (WP1-WP8-WP9) are devoted to project management and coordination, as well as dissemination and valorization, doing their active role throughout the project life cycle, as highlighted in the Timetable Activities here showed.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND COORDINATION

WP2
TEAM BUILDING and
COMMUNICATION STRATEGY

 


Duration 4 Months from October 2012 to February 2013

  • Create a working team consisting of representatives from each partner who will share the management of the project and of the work plan
  • Organize and realize the first Project start-up workshop among all partners in Italy
  • Finalize sub-contracting phase with partners and N.A.
  • Design and share the visual identity standards that will be applied to the communication tools and to the interim and final products of the project
  • Finalization of the agreement with the National Agency and of partners sub-contracts
  • Preparation and sharing of the operational plan for the activities defined in the work plan

  • Creation and design of the internal and external communication tools and of the graphic identity of the project (project logo, communication formats, etc.)
  • Preliminary desk research through the analysis of the existing national frameworks of teaching and training in key competences and soft skills in each partner country<
WP 3
ANALYSIS OF CONTEXTS AND TARGET GROUPS NEEDS IN RELATION TO DIDACTICS AND LEARNING OF SOFT SKILLS AND KEY COMPETENCES


Duration 5 Months from January to May 2013

  • Analyse in the partners countries, the context, the situation of pedagogical and didactical approaches to teaching and training in key competences and soft skills within VET systems and labour market in the partners countries;
  • Identify the target group needs and requirements through an analysis of the main motivations and “representations”
  • Analyse in the partners countries, the conditions of application of ECVET system to teaching and training in key competences and soft skills, on both the side of VET Professionals and of students and trainees of different ages and situations.
  • Analysis of approaches available within VET National Systems of the partnership to:
    • teaching and training in key competences and soft skills, on the side of VET Professionals;
    • learning/acquiring key competences and soft skills, on the side of students and trainees of different ages and situations;
    • requiring/investing on staff and workforce in key competences and soft skills training/enhancement, on the side of employers and labour market key actors;
  • Analysis of teaching and training in key competences and soft skills in different available training pathways
  • Administration of questionnaires and focus groups
  • Analysis of target groups features and response to the survey and focus groups activities
  • Reporting and realization of the transnational comparative analysis
WP4
DEFINITION OF THE ADAPTATION STRATEGIES OF THE BEST PRACTICE TO NATIONAL CONTEXTS AND ANALYSIS OF ECVET-COMPATIBILITY

Duration 4 Months from May to August 2013

 

  • Compare the needs and requirements identified by all partner Countries
  • Identify the strengths and opportunities of the best practice that can meet those needs and requirements
  • Identify the weaknesses and threats of the best practice that can obstacle the fulfillment of target groups requirements
  • Identify the elements of the good practice that require adaptation to meet the identified needs of the target groups
  • Identify the sustainability elements of the best practice methods and tools to be integrated into the VET system, taking in consideration the descriptions of vocational guidance systems given by each partner country
  • Comparison of the qualitative and quantitative information contained in the reports produced by each partner country
  • Elaboration and production of a comparative needs and requirements matrix
  • SWOT analysis of the good practice in the light of the information contained in the matrix
  • Selection of the tools of the good practice to be transferred
  • Identification, in each partners country, of the types of organizations/institutions/systems to be involved in the transfer of innovation phase
  • Production of quick guidelines for the process of adaptation of the Best Practice in order to ensure the sustainability and transferability of the Best Practice to other geographic contexts/target groups
WP 5
ADAPTATION, TRANSLATION AND IMPLEMENTATION OF THE BEST PRACTICE

 


Duration 6 Months from June to December 2013

  • Select the number and typology of key competencies and soft skills available in the best practice, to be adapted, translated/transferred per each country
  • Adapt the contents of the BP so as to make it fully responsive to the target group needs & requirements identified during the previous work phases and relevant to the geographical context and to the specific VET sector in the partners countries
  • Develop the BP by translating it into the different languages of the partnership
  • Adapt evaluation tools in terms of learning outcomes and credit points in order to fit for their insertion into the ECVET System
  • Organize and realize the 3rd transnational workshop in Belgium
  • Produce protocols of agreement among partners for adaptation and sharing of assessment and evaluation tools to ECVET System
  • Selection of key competencies and soft skills
  • Adaptation of contents and elements of the best practice
    • Linguistic adaptation:
      • the products will be translated in the languages of the partnership (the whole set of elements for each competence selected by each partner, with a declared minimum of 2 competencies for each partner);
      • Sharing and Validation of the adaptation by the partnership
    • Methodological adaptation:
      • Evaluation tools will be analyzed and rendered by the partnership in terms of learning outcomes and credit points in order to fit for their insertion into the ECVET System
  • Organization and realization of the 3rd transnational workshop
WP6
TRANSFER OF INNOVATION


Duration 9 Months from December 2013 to September 2014

  • Experimentation of innovative contents with direct and indirect target groups of beneficiaries
  • Upgrading and aware-raising for teachers, trainers and VET professionals on key comeptences and soft skills issues and relate didactics and pedagogical technique
  • Improvement of curricular pathways with didactic approaches characterized by teaching/learning in key competences and soft skills
  • Improvement of the target beneficiaries (students, trainees) awareness of the relevance of learning key competence and soft skills for their future choices in lifelong learning, life and working life
  • Organize and realize the 3rd/4th transnational workshops among partners + TRAINING OF TRAINERS SESSION in BELGIUM AND PORTUGAL
  • Realization of experimental laboratories for teachers training (training of trainers sessions held by Czech certified trainers) in occasion of the project workshops (in BE and PT), in order to transfer the methodological proposal and tools based on teaching and training in key comeptences and soft skills in VET Systems (at least 3 per each country/partner).
    So that at the end of the training session and the assessment, the participant will obtain the certification as trainers in soft skills and registered into the proper Register held by the Czech partner.
  • Monitoring and analysis of the feedback deriving from the experimentation implemented
  • As a further action, with a multiplier effect, this first group of certified trainers, trained and assessed after the sessions in Belgium and Portugal will be able - under the Memorandum of Understanding and the license agreement with the Czech partner, which is the owner of the copyright – to reproduce in their training centers and in their own contexts of reference, the same training intervention with other trainers, in order to effectively transfer the Best Practice in their own education and vocational training systems;
  • Realization of teaching / learning courses
  • Realization of experimental pathways with students and trainers, based on the modules adapted of the different key competences and soft skills selected by the Partnership
WP 7
INTEGRATION OF THE BEST PRACTICE INTO MAINTREAM OF THE PARTNER COUNTRIES VET INSTITUTIONS AND SYSTEMS

 

Duration 6 Months from April to September 2014

  • Complete the testing of the innovative contents with the direct and indirect target groups of beneficiaries
  • Organize and implement the 4th transnational workshop in Portugal and the second session of TRAINING OF TRAINERS in Portugal
  • Experience the BP in VET pathways with final users
  • Integrate the results of the BP and the products tested during the project in general programs of VET organizations of the Partnership and their networks
  • Formalize the transfer of innovation and commitment to the use and exploitation of the Best Practice by project partners
  • Formalize protocols of understanding and licenses for the use and exploitation of Best Practice in the partners contexts of reference
  • Collect documents and protocols of agreement relating to the insertion of the Best Practice in the institutional contexts of the partners
  • Realization of experimental courses with students and final users included in compulsory VET pathways, in order to place into practice, teaching and training in key competences and soft skills;
  • Monitoring and analysis of the feedback deriving from the BP experimentation;
  • Integration of the results of the BP and its products in general VET programs within the partnership
  • Certification of the team of teachers and trainers
  • Raising awareness and involvement of teachers / trainers;
  • Territorial and systemic integration to be achieved through the dissemination of results and products of the transfer of innovation process

DISSEMINATION AND VALORIZATION
  • Share the Good Practice with beneficiaries
  • Validate the products using a target sample of direct and indirect beneficiaries
  • Establish a network with direct and indirect beneficiaries

MONITORING AND EVALUATION PLAN AND QUALITY MANAGEMENT
  • Definition and implementation of a monitoring and evaluation system in relation to performances, processes, resources, beneficiaries, results and outcomes (QUALITY MANAGEMENT PLAN)
